The village and civil parish of Thornham lies approximately 43 miles from Norwich and just 4 miles from the Seaside Town of Hunstanton. This strategically positioned parish with a beautiful local landscape is home to approximately 500 permanent residents. A beautiful building in its own right, the village’s historic All Saints’ Church nonetheless has an interesting additional claim to fame. The ship’s bell of a Ham class minesweeper – named HMS Thornham after the village – now hangs proudly within the church as a tribute to the region’s military history.
Responsible car scrapping and recycling is becoming an increasingly important matter across the UK. Research suggests that approximately one in every 10 end-of-life vehicles taken off the roads never makes it to the recycling centre. This amounts to around 100,000 cars each year, which simply ‘disappear’ without a trace. The costs and complexities of scrapping and recycling cars having been blamed in part for the escalating issue.
