Pronounced wrongly by the vast majority of outsiders, the village of Tasburgh occupies a strategic plot just 8 miles to the south of Norwich. The civil parish of Tasburgh comprises the twin villages of Upper Tasburgh and Lower Tasburgh – the latter housing significantly more historic buildings than its neighbour to the north. Archaeological digs have produced evidence to suggest that human beings have been present in Tasburgh since as far back as 8500 BC. Green, pleasant and home to some quite spectacular residential properties, Tasburgh is a beautiful place to visit and an enviable village to call home.
Incredibly, it’s estimated that around 10% of all end-of-life vehicles in the UK never make it to a licensed recycling centre. This equates to approximately 100,000 vehicles that are no longer roadworthy, which simply disappear into the ether. Experts believe that the costs and complexities associated with responsible recycling are partly to blame. Hence, Take My Scrap Car was founded to change the face of car scrapping and recycling in Tasburgh.
The way we see it, scrapping and recycling vehicles of all shapes and sizes shouldn’t be a challenge. In fact, responsible motorists doing the right thing with their end-of-life vehicles should be rewarded. That’s why instead of charging our customers a penny for using our services, we work in the exact opposite way.
