Located approximately 25 miles from Norwich and 16 miles from Cromer, Thursford offers quick and easy connections to some of Norfolk’s most iconic towns and cities. Along with the beautiful parish church dedicated to Saint Andrew, Thursford is also widely known as the home of the Thursford Collection. One of the largest collections of fairground organs and steam engines in the world, which originally started out as a hobby of the late George Cushing. Regular events are held at the museum throughout the year, attracting enthusiasts of all ages from all over the world.
At Take My Scrap Car, we’re often asked why responsible car scrapping and recycling is so important:
- Approximately one million cars are taken off the roads permanently in the UK each year
- Around 100,000 cars simply disappear, without being responsibly disposed of
- The overwhelming majority of materials in the average car are 100% recyclable
- Scrap cars are loaded with toxic fluids, components are compounds that must be disposed of appropriately
- Failing to follow the rules when disposing of a vehicle could land you a heavy penalty
Now more than ever, ensuring that every end-of-life vehicle is disposed of appropriately is the responsibility of every motorist. Luckily, Take My Scrap Car offers a simple, accessible and rewarding alternative to traditional car scrapping and recycling processes.
